FAQ
Most often asked questions
YOU:
What's the required level of English to participate in the course?
ME:
The course is 100% in English. If you can read this website no problem, most probably your level of English is enough.
If you already write a lot in English, or you are starting to write a lot of emails, and you feel that you need to improve, the course is for you. Check out the introductory video, and if you understand me well - you will do great in the course.
YOU:
What if my level of English is already Advanced?
ME:
Congratulations! It's a great achievement.

I work with people whose level of English is already above average, and you can find a lot of useful tips and tools here to continue moving towards a higher level than an "Advanced" certificate - a level of real fluency and absolute freedom of expressing yourself.
YOU:
How to apply to participate?
ME:
You need to write a paragraph to apply and fill out the form here.
I choose course participants myself based on their paragraphs.
The deadline to apply is March 20, 2019.
YOU:
Are there any deadlines when I need to submit my work?

ME:
There are no deadlines. I don't motivate. I don't remind you about the homework. I don't demand any reports. But I am always there for those who need me and those who work. All the work that you submit will be checked, and you'll always receive feedback. You can also participate in live videos and ask your questions in real time. And February is the month of extra feedback - maybe you want to revisit some of the exercises, do them again, write something new. I will check everything. I guide, I help, I support. You can ask questions any time. However, those who don't ask anything, will not receive any reply.

I believe that everybody works at their own pace, and everybody needs their own amount of time to do the work.
YOU:
Can I start with the RESUME lessons right away? I need it the most
ME:
You can start anywhere. The course is designed in such a way that it's a whole system. Wherever you start, you will arrive where you need to be.
However, I recommend checking the Lessons on how to Check your writing as soon as you can. You will most probably come back to this lesson more often than to the others.
Still have a question?
Send it over and I'll reply!
You will work in a group with other amazing, ambitious individuals

But I encourage you to talk, learn from each other and give each other feedback on your work, because this is how you polish your own skills.

You will always receive individual feedback on your work

Why is it for NON-NATIVE speakers specifically?
Non-native speakers make mistakes because they translate
This course is designed to help you change your thinking paradigm and learn to formulate your ideas correctly in a second language
Most business people worldwide today are non-native speakers
Yet, they all use English as the business language. We need to learn to communicate clearly with anyone, with any cultural background. When you write, you learn how to develop your style and adapt it to the situation.
Non-native speakers need resources to check their writing MORE than native speakers
People often genuinely don't know if this is a mistake or not, if this makes sense or doesn't.Therefore I'm sharing what I've been using myself for years. All the strategies, all the tricks, all the resources to become a great writer. And most of them are FREE.
Many non-native speakers, especially Russians, don't know how to talk about their achievements
And yet, it's a fundamental skills for writing a good resume. Everyone here will learn to create a marketing tool (a resume) to successfully sell themselves as professionals to foreign companies.
Non-native speakers need help with metaphors
All it takes is being more attentive. Steve Harvey gave a speech, which went viral. It received 34M views and was quoted by so many entrepreneurs. He says there: "You got to jump. You got to dash off that cliff and jump out there as far as you can" Using metaphors and right analogies help you sound more like a native speaker. Metaphors make your writing easy to imagine and your ideas - easy to remember.
